Job Description: Lead Data Analyst

This position acts as a critical member of the project team who will interface with the client’s Business, Operations, and IT organizations as well as third party vendors. Specific areas of interest include Accounting, Treasury, Performance & Analytics, Vendor, Deal, Investor and People domains. The candidate must display an advanced knowledge of private equity platforms and data structures and must be able to determine what fields are required from each source and the data transformation rules.

Responsibilities:

• Document data requirements including data domains, internal and external sources, data transformation rules and downstream consumers.
• Review upstream and downstream dependencies and interfaces.
• Analyze key analytics requirements and identify what fields are required from source systems.
• Populate the data catalog with metadata and transformation rules.
• Work with other team members to validate the data model and transformation logic.

Experience:

• 10 years Leading teams and client engagement, Seven years of experience in financial data analysis, with at least three years in Wealth Management. 
• Understanding of standard industry sources of Wealth Management a plus. 
• Strong understanding of wealth management domains.
• Experience documenting data lineage, mapping, and transformation rules.
• Experience with Informatica ETL, data governance and catalog, and data quality tools is a strong plus.
• Understanding of relational database concepts is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
