OVERVIEW

Vertex is currently accepting applications for a Field Supervisor who possess five (5) or more years experience . The successful candidate must be experienced overseeing and supervising Rig Vac and Water Support. The incumbent will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and financial skills, be detailed oriented, and have exceptional communication skills with a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Five (5) or more years supervisory experience in Rig Vac & Water Support with proven leadership abilities

Experience leading a team,
Effective Supervision skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes
Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles
Strong understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization
Exceptional communication skills with clients and employees
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Maintains a high level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
Maintains a well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Valid Class 3 or Class 1 driver’s license with a clean abstract (previous 5 years)
Possess safety tickets including but not limited to First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS20), H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and Ground Disturbance Level II
Must be able to successfully pass a 12-panel drug and alcohol test
Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
Ability to work independently while efficiently managing time and productivity

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage/supervise all day-to-day on-site processes and activities for Drilling & Production Services
Schedule, plan, and allocate work to employees
Oversee crews and equipment in assigned areas and provide direction to operators
Monitor the progress of all jobs until completion
Foster open and positive client communications and interactions, providing support with preparing proposals and bids
Fleet management
Supervise all equipment utilization and ensure operations are being run as efficient and cost-effective as possible
Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition; ensure all required maintenance work and equipment records or reports are completed within designated timelines
Review and sign-off on daily logs and tickets
Monitor daily tickets and billing activity to ensure documents are accurately provided to the accounting department for processing
Perform various administrative duties, team leadership and supervision, including operating various operational equipment when needed and as directed by your manager and/or management
Provide strong client satisfaction by always providing exceptional customer service
Adhere to all safety procedures, policies, protocols, standards, and initiatives; understand and demonstrate the expectations set out within the Vertex policy manual and expectations of the company and clients
Understand and demonstrate Vertex’s mission, vision, and values; Constantly strive to support Vertex’s achievement of corporate goals and objectives
Integrity and reliability, willing to accept after hour calls when necessary
Other duties as directed by your supervisor and/or manager

LOCATION

This position will be based out of Grande Prairie, AB.
