Position Overview

Verra Mobility is hiring a Field Service Technician who will be part of a fast paced, high growth traffic enforcement technology department/company. You will install, connect, calibrate, analyze, troubleshoot, maintain and repair automated traffic enforcement systems, field WAN networks and surveillance equipment. You will be required to work on a ladder. You will also document, install, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems as needed. You will be traveling independently to locations where you will work with subcontractors, clients and Verra Mobility engineering staff to install and maintain red light camera and speed enforcement systems in the field. Technician must ensure the enforcement photo system in the region maintain strict standards, minimum of 95% operation time and minimum of 85% issuance rate. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical work, wiring, and troubleshooting of electrical and data connectivity hook ups for various mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Programing/configuring of red light camera and speed enforcement systems in the field
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a variety of red light camera and speed enforcement system issues.
• Must be able to prioritize, comply with processes and quality checklists
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, assignments and report service data
• Must be able to organize, manage and safeguard truck stock parts and tools.
• Effectively communicate with customers and subcontractors in the field, fostering a good working relationship

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic components, 110 volt power and connectivity wiring, computer hardware and data/video cabling.
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft windows operating systems
• Computer hardware related certifications such as CompTIA A , N are a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of computer networking
• Ability to work independently (safely and responsibly), as well as in a team and with subcontractors 
• Travel (within the province)

Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, be able work on a ladder, lift up to 55 lbs., operate hand and power tools, handle regular exposure to outside elements
