Position Overview

Own and champion the SW Quality as the Engineering leader in the Verra Mobility CS Business. Provide Operating Standards and tools, testing, infrastructure for development and deployment of Cloud based Data processing solutions and services for Connected Fleets. Our existing team of domain experts and high-quality experienced engineers form a great team environment. We are looking for the best of the best leaders who want to challenge themselves in a fast moving yet a disciplined environment. The leadership role is the critical link across development, testing, staging, provisioning, deployment, and technical support enabling and supporting friction-free collaboration

Essential Responsibilities

1. Leadership/management role which builds, enhances, and supports the life cycle from a concept to deployment of software with the Design-In Quality principle.

2. Leads adoption and adherence to the Stage Gate process with Lean Agile SW development

3. Champion the product quality assurance for software and services with ’TQM – Total Quality Management’

i. Management of the Quality Assurance and Quality/Test engineering resources

4. Own the technology and engineering collaboration with tools and systems for Software builds, integration, release engineering:

i. Maintain and verify the software releases – Integration Test, System Test, UAT, Production Validation

ii. QA/QE to conduct performance testing early & often.

iii. Test Automation

5. Leads software product engineering with Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment objective

i. Build and maintain R&D Software product design, build tools and agile software integration tools

ii. Continuous Integration / Build Automation infrastructure (app servers, databases, agents, etc…).

iii. SW Configuration Management and SW artifact repository: Own and govern the source code repositories and branches and respective configuration management

6. Communicate and evangelize process and data driven approach for quality thru product development life cycle including software builds, integration, and release engineering

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science; Master’s degree is preferred.

· 10 years' experience in software engineering, quality assurance, testing with test automation and DevSecOps

· 5 years of experience in a Quality management role, directly leading and managing Quality engineering, DevOps personnel

· 6 years of experience working in the complex and Cloud based Data processing software development

· Experience with enterprise software, cloud-based data driven solution/service development tools and standards

· Experience with the quality engineering software product development SDLC with Lean Agile and CMMI

· Analytical/Statistical skills for quality management with the design-in quality principles

· Understanding of regulatory quality standards and respective conformance and compliance requirements.

· Must be a champion on the defect management process (bug prioritization, scrubs, lifecycle management) using tools like ServiceNow or similar tools

· Azure DevOPs, Power BI, Wiki, SonarCloud, Doxygen, Selenium, ……

· Manage Access Control, licensing, etc…

· Experience working in an agile environment and experience working with bugs and defects in a scrum environment

· Understanding and experience with the software release management, continuous integration, and continuous deployment

· Experience in researching new methodologies and building processes for quality engineering

· Extremely organized & detail oriented and technical problem solver with hands-on approach and “get it done’ attitude

· Strong written and verbal communications.

· Effective team player and able to work with a diverse array of people, challenging and influencing and building successful working relationships
