Vermont Life Safety is looking for a reliable, honest, dependable and hard-working individual that wants to join our team in the fire alarm and fire sprinkler trade. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and walk/stand for extended periods of time. Must have basic knowledge and skills with tools and simple mechanical devices.
The role includes: The repair of sprinkler risers, pipes, and hangers, preventative service work, and regular yearly inspections of customers' systems.
The workload is roughly 60-70% inspections, which involves testing all parts of the sprinkler system. The sprinkler inspections can vary in type, ranging from testing all mechanical components for the system, to an internal visual inspection of the system.
Requires a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Anyone applying for the full Technician position should have an active Vermont Sprinkler Technician license, be able to renew their license, or have the experience required to test for their license.
