Position Title: People Operations Specialist

Reports to: Human Resource Director

Location: Milton, VT

Role Summary

Under the direction of the Human Resource Director, the People Operations Partner will support the day to day people operations. This includes talent acquisition, coordinating and processing: new hire documents, payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, records retention, and enforcing company policies and practices through their collaboration with department leaders throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of all internal and external HR-related business functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, and record retention.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategy for job opportunities and building s sustainable talent pipeline.
• Act as the internal Human Resource Information System’s (HRIS) expert, addressing employee queries, providing training sessions and managing employee records.
• Manage vendor relationships, including local high schools, employment agencies, background screening and drug screening vendors, and other recruitment resources.
• Collaborate with the HR Director and leaders throughout the organization on employee engagement initiatives, retention strategies, as well as leadership and management techniques.
• Process weekly payroll and employee benefits changes, with the support of the HR Director as necessary.
• Coordinate and timely process all new hire and benefit enrollment documents.
• Assist HR Director with the development, execution, and adherence to all people related processes and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five years of relevant work experience required.
• Experience with software applications, including HR, payroll, and Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
