The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE, Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup. Responsibilities: We are looking a highly motivated, energetic individual to join the NetBackup DevOps team, the Flagship product of the Veritas family. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the DevOps/BizTools team providing DevOps, Pipeline, and Test Automation supporting the delivery of NetBackup and NetBackup related products. The ideal candidate will possess solid understanding of DevOps and Production Pipelines, Build infrastructure, testing infrastructure, be knowledgeable of both windows and Unix operating systems, and End to End application development methodologies. You will productively work in a highly collaborative agile team, actively participate in knowledge sharing all while communicating across teams in a multinational environment. Minimum Required Skills include: BS or BA degree in Computer Science or related field 2 years experience in software development 2 years experience working in a DevOps/Continuous Integration team Advanced understanding and application with a CI/CD tool (Jenkins, Electric Flow, Drone) Advanced understanding and application of at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.) Practical experience with multiple virtualization technologies (virtual machines, containers) Practical experience with a variety of software Operating Systems Strong problem solving and organizational skills Desired skills include: Demonstrated ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities to deliver urgent business objectives Demonstrated ability to engage cross-team collaboration to resolve challenging problems Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams a plus Experience working in multiple cloud vendors (Azure, AWS, GCP) a plus Experience with Atlassian Tools Suite (Jira, BitBucket) a plus Experience with code analysis tools (Coverity, Blackduck, Bullseye) a plus Experience with artifact management tools (Artifactory) a plus At Veritas, we care about the causes close to your heart and enable you to volunteer, donate, and do good.
