Verinovum, Inc. is Hiring a Remote Database Administrator

Verinovum, a leader in the Healthcare Data Enrichment and Integration Technology industry, is

currently seeking a Database Administrator (with an emphasis in Cassandra experience) for its

Tulsa, OK headquarters. The DBA will design and maintain databases, database systems and

data infrastructure to securely retain, organize, and manage data. This person will also identify

company’s internal and external data sources. And collaborate with various departments to

determine data usage and organizational needs.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Experience with NoSQL or Key-Value Database technologies (Cassandra, Datastrax, Scylla) is a requirement for this role.
  • Handle complex projects throughout SDLC phases and deliver successfully.
  • Provide database administration support for development and production database environments, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Support operation of multiple database technologies in multiple environments, including cloud and on-prem, executed traditionally and within containers or Kubernetes.
  • Contribute to developing policies and procedures for processes relate to data model change management, application integration and metadata storage and retrieval.
  • Identify database solutions and related tools to improve solution performance and team productivity.
  • Facilitate review of software changes that pertain to data models and interactions (e.g., Pull Requests).
  • Assist in creating and implementing data management processes and controls to ensure database are kept secure.
  • Help in translating business requirements into solutions leveraging data bases, data warehouses and data streams.
  • Evaluate current data architecture and define and support transition architecture as needed.
  • Assist in analyzing, planning, and defining data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 years’ experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI).
  • The ability to analyze and present statistical information.
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Technologies (MS SQL, CockroachDB).
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse Technologies (Snowflake, Azure, Synapse).
  • Data management and data migration experience in a zero-downtime environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work and juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.
