The Verber Dental Group (VDG) Marketing department is seeking a part-time Social Media Specialist to join the team! This position is responsible for strengthening our brand, building and executing social media strategy through competitor and audience research during a 16-20 hour workweek.

Some specific responsibilities include:

• Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
• Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
• Set up new pages and optimize existing company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
• Interact with users and followers on each of the social media platforms
• Moderate all user content and comments to ensure they are in line with the moderation policy for each of our company pages
• Create social/editorial calendars and manage each of the schedules efficiently while collaborating with the rest of the marketing team
• Continuously improving the effectiveness of social media efforts by analyzing the appropriate social metrics, insights and best practices, and leads generated by said efforts
• Collaborate with other departments within the group to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions between the different brands

Requirements

Desired Education:

• Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3 years of experience in marketing, communications or related field 
• or comparable combination of education and experience

General Knowledge:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Social Media Management Platforms

Experience:

• Experience managing a social media strategy with multiple brands at once
• Demonstrated experience writing for a variety of different audiences, and knowledge of basic communication strategies

Qualities:

• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and to be flexible and have the adaptability to work with unexpected changes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, professional, and customer service oriented

A Plus If You Also Have (preferred, but not required):

• Experience with Wordpress platform
• The ability to occasionally participate in weekend or evening events
