Verasonics is Hiring a Product Manager Near Kirkland, WA

Verasonics is hiring a Product Manager!We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced and driven Product Manager to join our marketing team. As product manager you will drive, shape and define the product in partnership with Ultrasound Science, R&D and Product Marketing. Responsibilities include leadership, direction and oversight related to the future product portfolio with respect to new product development, new application and technology areas and translation into new business opportunities for the company. This position also monitors products and general applications of competitors and observes market dynamics.

To be successful, the right candidate will need a unique blend of business, marketing, and technical savvy, a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. Absolutely crucial for this role are solid interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence for effective relationship building, advanced analytical and problem-solving, and the ability to achieve success while managing multiple/conflicting priorities and delivering on established timelines. Self-starter who requires minimal direction, drives for results, and has demonstrated success in the timing and effective execution of key projects.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as global marketing lead in new product development process, partnering with scientific and development teams to define and develop next-generation products and on-market product improvements centered on meeting true user needs and alignment with business goals.
  • Build and clearly articulate business cases to support new product initiatives. Lead the Concept Phase to effectively translate customer needs into clear and impactful product requirements and design concepts.
  • Be the global product and market expert, providing in-depth knowledge of market trends and dynamics, competitive landscape, critical market success factors, and customer needs.
  • Gather customer requirements by performing customer interviews and market assessments.
  • Partner with the scientific team to execute communication strategy that highlights the value proposition of Verasonics portfolio of products.
  • Collaborate, train and support Product Marketing on new features and/or products, and cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the total user experience, including usability testing.
  • Develop relationships with key industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions, in collaboration with other marketing leaders and senior executives to drive penetration and new market initiatives.
  • Drive the use of advanced analytics to generate deep insights about product utilization data.
  • Assist Executive Team with annual strategic planning.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field required. MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
  • 10 years of related business experience, 8 years in product management
  • Strong leadership skills—ability to function as the marketing “lead” on product, marketing, commercial and pipeline development
  • Project management skills—ability to manage complex projects and programs. Ability to pull the appropriate level, functional and geographic functions together to support initiatives.
  • Analytical skills—ability to develop market models, market and customer segmentation, creative, messaging, and claims surveys
  • Demonstrated success in value proposition development and needs identification
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, proactive and resourceful with a “can do” attitude
  • Innovative and able to think openly, broadly, and strategically
  • Strong analytical skills to draw conclusions from data, management information and trends
  • Sound time management skills, ensuring that work is produced to agreed deadlines and high standards
  • Highly organized, focused and committed to achieving goals
  • Excellent communication skills — ability to translate product, clinical and scientific information into meaningful messaging

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Ultrasound and/or test and measurement equipment experience highly desirable
