Description
The Dispatch Clerk position is within the Venture Wabash National Dedicated department. The dispatcher is responsible for transmitting shipments through the SAP and Excel systems, tracking and trace of loads, as well as shipment optimization. This position is in a fast-paced environment and requires the individual to multitask effectively. Prior trucking/transportation experience, including dispatching drivers, is beneficial.
Requirements
- Receive shipments in the SAP system in a manner that optimizes and consolidates loads to meet customer demands and maximize efficiency.
- Update customers on the status of loads
- Follow-up and communicate the status of shipments to ensure on-time customer delivery requirements are met.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight flow to meet customer demands and maximize efficiency.
- Identify issues affecting service levels and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Evening yard audits and calling out shuttle and door moves to drivers.
