We are seeking a Golf Shop Attendant with a positive attitude to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and to ensure a consistent quality of customer service to our members/guests. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in maintaining the overall appearance, attractiveness and cleanliness of the golf shop, merchandise, and surrounding areas.
• Administers all point of sales application as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing. Coordinates with Accounting Departments all policy and procedure revisions and updates.
• Handle special orders for members by placing orders with the Merchandise Manager.
• Answering telephone, reconciling daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receives payments from members and guests. Resolves discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment.
• Maintain gift certificate procedures.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to serve the customers need for golf merchandise, equipment or other special requests.
• Displaying new merchandise arrivals.
• Restock merchandise.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
• Highly motivated to achieve goals, excellent organizational skills with strong computer skills.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Able to apply basic math skills and able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months golf shop related experience and/or training.

• Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Meet the physical demands of the position: Regularly stands, walks, and sits. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands to finger feel or handle; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts to 50 pounds.
