Why You'll Love Working with Us: Lead Exciting Projects: As a Project Engineer, you'll take the lead in executing various projects. You'll be responsible for system layout, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, project scheduling, and more. Your work will directly impact our manufacturing processes. Diverse Responsibilities: Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks, from engineering calculations and documentation to project budget management and compliance with safety policies. Your Role in a Nutshell: As a Project Engineer at Venator, your responsibilities will include: • Performing engineering calculations and creating detailed engineering drawings. • Managing project documentation, budgets, schedules, and procurement. • Overseeing project fieldwork, including permits, contractor coordination, and safety compliance. • Maintaining compliance with key programs such as Management of Change, Process Safety Management, and Mechanical Integrity. • Implementing standard engineering practices and providing detailed project documentation. • Actively managing project progress, tracking milestones, and responding to critical process issues. Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required: • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent degree. • A minimum of 5 years of relevant project engineering experience within your discipline. • Electrical and Instrumentation experience is a valuable asset. • Strong organizational and management skills, including the ability to lead and influence others to meet project goals. • A self-motivated and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently and with teams to find solutions. • Proficiency with various software tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point. Skills in Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and MP2 are a plus. • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with others. Physical Demands: • While performing your duties, you'll need to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear regularly. • Climbing, using your hands for various tasks, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 lbs are part of the job. • You may also be required to work outdoors in fluctuating temperatures.
