How you’ll be protecting the world:

Venafi is searching for a Director Product Marketing to lead the go-to-market strategy for the Venafi Control Plane for Machine Identities. This is a strategic role individual contributor role with significant scope, high degree of influence and executive visibility. This role requires a passionate, creative thinker with experience bringing platforms to market, proven ability to drive quantitative results and a fierce desire to help organizations avoid security breaches and revenue stream disruptions caused by machine identity management failures.

  • Work with critical stakeholders at the executive level to develop comprehensive GTM strategy
  • Develop persona-based journeys for both Business and Technical decision makers
  • Develop comprehensive positioning and messaging for our Control Plane for Machine Identities Platform product that resonates with target personas
  • Drive persona specific programs that enable prescriptive journeys
  • Use continuous learning and analysis to assess program effectiveness and adapt to reach target goals
  • Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Act as the primary external thought leader for Venafi’s Control Plane for Machine Identities Platform, including speaking engagements and written works
  • Provide expert guidance that sets the pace for the team on competitive trap setting, objection handling, and sales play development partnering with sales and competitive intelligence
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.

The ideal Venafi Warrior will be armed with:

  • 8 years of product marketing experience with at least 4 years of experience in a market-facing role for a B2b Enterprise product.
  • Comfort with productivity, collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce, MS Office etc
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools, how they enable the customer journeys and the types of KPI's they support e.g. Marketo, Pardot and Omniture, and Google Analytics.
  • Exceptional analytical skills including ability to set realistic goals, track progress against, and course correct to obtain
  • Outstanding public speaking skills, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.
  • Ability to be a Team player
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing; MBA preferred.
