As a Staff Electrical Engineer at Velodyne LiDAR you will take responsibility for the electrical systems operating at the core of the highest performance LiDAR sensor available today. All aspects of the design including high-speed digital, power transfer, ranging, PCB/FPC layouts, and thermal management will be within your purview. Ideal applicants will possess extreme breadth of knowledge as well as extraordinary depth into multiple key areas.
You will work directly with Software, Firmware, Mechanical and Optical Engineers to realize future generations of vision systems which are core to scaling vehicle autonomy. In collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations you will manage deployment of your designs to production and carry the program from concept phase through mass production. You will also interface directly with sales, marketing and the customer base to develop requirements and ensure they are appropriately met.
