Develop schematics comprised of FPGAs, SoCs, memories, communications devices, analog devices, ADCs, DACs, motion control devices, feedback sensors, power supplies. Aid layout designers in the layout process, applying your skills to achieve optimal placement, routing, PCB stackup, signal quality, manufacturability, and cost. Simulate circuits using tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, and Hyperlynx. Use the fundamental principles of high-speed circuit design, signal integrity analysis, EMC, electrical safety, and DFM to achieve solid designs. Work closely with a diverse team comprised of electrical, mechanical, software, FPGA, reliability, and verification team members to drive the product from concept to manufacturing. Test, characterize and troubleshoot PCBAs to achieve optimal design performance. What you will have: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience At least 7 years of experience designing complex PCBs with a mix of high-speed digital, analog and power electronics Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of analog, digital, power, communication, and mixed-signal circuits Experience designing circuits using common signal integrity techniques Experience taking multiple complex boards through the layout process, providing detailed layout constraints to the PCB designer. Ability to define and develop test procedures and to perform design verification Experience in a lab environment, using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other test equipment.
