Summary The Production Planner role is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet demand delivery requirements and best utilize company’s production capacity. They also monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise. Job Description Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules and prioritize job orders for production optimization. Plan equipment, material, and manpower requirements to execute job orders. Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders / demand. Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines. Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage Follow-up as required with procurement to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedule and customer expectation. Analyze plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses. Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory Coordinate with production management to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems. Coordinate with production management in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines. Produce status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory and finished goods demand.
