About this Opportunity:

As a contract manufacturer in the Medical Device space, the Senior Customer Supply Chain Account Manager is responsible for managing the order fulfillment cycle from RFQ through delivery per customer requirements and the company’s manufacturing capabilities. This position provides a single point of contact and a high level of service to our customers. This position must have a robust knowledge of the company’s operational processes and capabilities to project manage their deliverables through the business to success. This role integrates the functions of customer management with supply chain, which is essential for ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the voice of the customer in leading and prioritizing tactical and strategic initiatives for the Customers they are assigned.
  • Project managing deliverables and collaborating across all functions: planning, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, shipping, quality, outside processing, and expeditors to ensure Quality and On Time Delivery of products the 1st time shipped.
  • Responsible for driving Customer Scorecard Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer success initiatives to consistently provide positive customer relations and superior service through improved scores.
  • Provide excellent customer service by recognizing and responding appropriately to internal and external customer requests in an efficient and timely manner. Ability to handle and solve complex customer interactions.
  • Processes requests for quotes and initiates order placement.
  • Processes customer change requests and reviews customer open order reports.
  • Investigates and resolves problems related to new orders, shipments of products, discrepant material, and billing.
  • Maintains customer records and associated databases through their portals/platforms, where applicable.
  • Coordinates sales opportunities within current or new customers with the associated Strategic Account Director(s).
  • Verify and communicate monthly sales/Customer forecasts/targets to finance department.
  • Responsible for managing schedule changes to maintain the on-time delivery KPI. May require working with the Planning department to change the manufacturing work order and customer commit dates for customer pushouts, pull ins and or cancellations to match newly negotiated delivery dates.
  • Follows prescribed policies and procedures when making decisions. Must have the ability to evaluate and problem solve issues quickly especially when they are outside the scope of any formal procedure. Unsound decisions may result in critical delays in scheduling and/or may jeopardize overall customer service.

Requirements / Skills:

  • 4-year degree: Supply Chain, Project Mgmt., Business Mgmt., Communications
  • 10 years of experience as an Account/Program Manager for a contract manufacturer in a heavy operations and customer service-oriented field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing/operations.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office products, especially Excel.
  • Strong and effective communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Have a strong sense of ownership and urgency and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills and active listening abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work onsite as it interacts with all functions throughout the company on a regular basis to support assigned customers.
  • This position will require close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data/figures, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
