Job Description

The Program Coordinator oversees program development (including current programs, as well as identifying new programs), assessment (including data tracking and metrics), and implementation of The Dominguez Dream partner school programs. This position will report to the Executive Director of The Dominguez Dream.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database (Kindful/Mobile Cause) for all donors and members, generate inquiries, record and acknowledge gifts
  • Create appeal letters, online fundraising campaigns, and other correspondence from concept through acknowledgment and serve as point of contact for donors and high level donor base
  • Collaborate with Leadership on executing aware campaigns, donor development, and marketing and sponsorship strategies
  • Suggest, develop, and execute events and served as community liaison
  • Coordinate and manage volunteers to operate events and concessions
  • Assist in the planning and organizing of community outreach efforts and the implementation of fundraising campaigns
  • Assist in planning and implementation of special events
  • Works with the advertisement and marketing departments to promote fundraising events using flyers, advertisements and digital marketing outreach
  • Assume responsibility for various fundraising efforts including obtaining items for sale in auctions and acquiring donations
  • Assist in writing grant proposals and developing event opportunities
  • Research and identify prospective new donors and proactively initiate sponsorship and funding
  • Assists in helping management in the development of fundraising goals and works to achieve and surpass these goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years' experience working in fundraising, marketing and or project organization
  • Foster positive relationships with current and potential business partners
  • Work closely with social media department to establish plans for marketing events and programs
  • Ability to work well with a team to promote company initiatives
  • 1-3 years' experience working in fundraising or project organization
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
  • Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and sponsors
  • Experience planning large-scale events and fundraisers
  • Ability to generate interest in the company or program and reach out to appropriate business partners
  • Experience working with a diverse team and promoting a positive brand image
