Title: Licensed Social Worker (BHS Inpatient Social Worker)

Shift: Day / M-F (8 am - 4:30 pm)

Duties:

• The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans.
• Serves as liaison about patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access.
• To clinical treatment for individuals. Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients. Services include, but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education, and group.
• Therapy Social Workers provide individual, conjoint, group, and family psychotherapy, in addition to crisis intervention.
• Services, as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered timely, efficient, and equitable.
• Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work.

Skills:

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective social work care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional social work services. ¿ Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of social work with a Masters

Certifications & Licenses:

• BLS - AHA
• Current Licensed Master Social Work
• Social Worker License
