Vancouver Landing Apartments, LLC is Hiring an Assistant Community Manager Near Vancouver, WA

  • Administers and maintains all phases of community operations under the direction of the Community Manager.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive documents and information regarding both Resident’s personal and confidential information.
  • Functions as an effective team member and provides a superior level of customer service.
  • Assists in maintaining a proper inventory of supplies and tools sufficient for providing service and maintaining the property in the administrative office.
  • Work with maintenance team to assist in maintaining all preventative maintenance programs that minimize emergency repairs and service requests.
  • Adhere to the company’s safety programs, policies and procedures. Assist in teaching and promoting safe work practices among on-site staff.
  • Participate in training classes as required.
  • Assist in conduction staff meetings and safety meetings on a regular basis. Attend management meetings as directed.
  • Handle all residents issues in a timely manner, providing proper documentation and informing Community Manager as needed.
  • Assists in analyzing, monitoring and documenting the local market conditions in order to help anticipate market trends that could affect the profitability of the community. Remains familiar with all competitive communities’ pricing, promotions and conditions.
  • Creates resident letters and notices and assures timely delivery as well as documenting resident files with actions and follow up as necessary.
  • Assists with ensuring that staff is implementing residential retention and renewal programs.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Understands and applies principles of Fair Housing.
  • Responsible for understanding Landlord-Tenant laws.
  • Represents the community and company in a professional manner at all times. Conforms to company apparel standards and sets a positive example for all associates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of two years experience in residential property management.
  • A strong familiarity with day-to-day administrative procedures as well as maintenance operations in a multi-family environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES -

  • Excellent communications, organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with Yardi preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic office organizational skills.
  • Strong diplomacy and crisis diffusion skills.
  • Ability to deal well with people, supportive, motivational personality.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to express oneself clearly and confidently.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and non-verbally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
