Description
Valor Healthcare is seeking a Compensation Manager to join our growing team in our Dallas Corporate office. This position is responsible for managing the development, implementation and administration of the company’s compensation program including but not limited to base salary, incentive, and other pay programs. The Compensation Manager will ensure both internal and external competitiveness as well as scalability of the compensation programs. This position will provide compensation support to help attract, retain, and reward the Company's talent to execute business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
• Works with senior leadership to ensure that the compensation strategy and programs support the organization’s business objectives and meet all legal requirements.
• Oversee the design and administration of compensation programs including base pay, variable pay, merit, compensation planning and market analysis with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Develops, implements, and analyzes market competitive pay structures that support Valor’s compensation framework including pay grades and position leveling.
• Manages design and execution of job architecture, including job analysis and evaluation, job descriptions, career ladders, salary ranges and compensation practices.
• Lead the job description creation process, procedures, and approvals; ensure compliance with FLSA and all applicable laws ang government regulations.
• Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
• Creates and provides value-added, efficient HR processes and services including management of the annual compensation planning cycle.
• Participates in the annual budgeting process related to compensation planning and forecasting
• Researches and proposes creative solutions to specific compensation-related business needs.
• Executes the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure organization compensation objectives are achieved. Completes annual and ad hoc compensation survey participation with selected survey vendors: undertake necessary data gathering, conduct new position matching, input, and submit by set deadlines. Interprets data for insights and provides recommendations.
• Manages relationships across business units and provides recommendations and influence decision-making to support talent attraction and retention.
• Provides advice and recommendations to organization leadership and staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
• 5 years compensation experience (Required)
• Healthcare industry a plus
• Solid business acumen and the ability to effectively implement HR strategies to support business goals and positively impact the structure, culture, and effectiveness of the organization
• Ability to collect and synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data and to recognize trends, solve complex problems and develop recommendations based on data analysis
• Proficiency with business and communications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, common Windows systems, and Outlook).
• Strong attention to details/accuracy.
• Ability to calculate and interpret mathematical formulas such as percentages, ratios, statistical average, median, multiple regression
• Strong understanding of compensation principles/processes/developing and writing compensation plans.
