Job Description Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Machine Operator position in the Claxton, GA facility. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will assist in various daily manufacturing production activities across multiple departments within the plant. Additionally, you will… Essential Functions Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements Position work piece against stops, manually or using hoist, and align layout marks with die or blade Oversee machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces Demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all Valmont safety policies and procedures Assist machine operators in setting up machines, as well as stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished work pieces Maintain confidentially all non-public information that might be of use to competitors, or harmful to Valmont or its customers Maintain an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not acceptable Consult your management if you are offered any gift or entertainment opportunity by a customer or vendor Maintain appropriate professional competencies, certifications, licenses, etc., necessary to perform job Make management aware of any training needs you have.
