Test Engineer
(JD-166)
* Develops and writes test procedures, specifies test equipment, and designs test fixtures and setups for simple PCB and complex systems.
* Supports debugging of products by technicians, provide training for new products and/or procedures. Performs failure analyses to correct product testing deficiencies or determine root cause of failures of returned items (RMA). Interface with customers on test correlation and coverage issues, and QA Inspector to schedule RMA repairs.
* Identify areas needing improvement and work to implement new tools/procedures.
* Develop capabilities that continually improve test productivity, test development efficiency and product test coverage.
* May prepare spreadsheets, graphs, and reports to document and analyze test results, and SPC analysis of new test fixtures/techniques to validate or establish monitors of critical test processes.
* Provide technical direction and training to others in the test area.
* Support customer design engineers with design for test (DFT) recommendations to improve test coverage & productivity.
