Valley Medical is Hiring a Remote HR Director

Job Overview:

The HR Director is part of the Leadership Team and will be responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of plans, systems, policies and processes for workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management and development, employee engagement, compensation philosophy and model, legal compliance and recordkeeping, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, leaves of absence, Worker’s Compensation, ADA accommodations, maintenance, company security, and completeness of all employment records while providing HR department oversight in a multi-location healthcare clinic environment. This is a full-time benefit eligible position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with AVP of Operations and C Suite to create an HR strategy and build an organizational culture that aligns with the company’s objectives.
  • Partners with executive leadership and people leaders to develop and deliver strategic workforce initiatives
  • Develops strategies, becomes project lead, executes, tracks milestones and measurements on HR related projects.
  • Works closely with Operations team on projects that are meeting organizational goals.
  • Responsible for oversite of all clinics general maintenance, security systems, special orders, IT onboarding and controls.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding system, including distribution of all equipment, IT handling, phones and internet coordination throughout the entire employee life cycle including developed policies and procedures.
  • Create strategies that enhance staff development, engagement, and career progression
  • Provide strategic focus in the creation of training and staff development initiatives
  • Oversees and administers where needed HRIS software, payroll software, and HR technologies
  • Serves as a point of contact to employee relations and organizational leaders as needed.
  • Support HR initiatives by guiding HR manager and in-direct reports in line with company goals.
  • Responsible for the development and continuous enhancement through evaluation and streamlining of HR and organizational polices and procedures.
  • Oversees performance evaluations, performance improvement plans and corrective action
  • Responsible for oversite to annual review process of all organizational policies.
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks by addressing key HR issues and avoid potentially costly events that might interfere with company goals
  • Oversees HR compliance and reporting for a multi-state workforce.
  • Establishes and monitors adherence to HR metrics, benchmarks, internal policies, and legal standards for the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience using and maintaining various HR technologies
  • Demonstrate the Company's core values and complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and deal effectively with interruptions.
  • Accommodating to frequently changing priorities.

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in human resources, or other business-related field or an equivalent amount of experience and training.
  • At least 10 years of broad human resource experience.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory position
  • Master's degree, MBA or a related advanced degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Additional Position Details: (hours, locations, commute)

  • Monday – Friday
  • Location: Burnsville
  • Ability to work on a holiday as part of a rotation and float to other VMW locations as needed.
  • As needed, is on-call or accessible to other leadership and supervisors for event escalation of business decisions outside of the hours indicated above.
  • This position is eligible for Hybrid work model (available after 1 year of employment and in good employment standing. 2 days remote, 3 days in office)
  • Eligible for $2500.00 annual continuing education reimbursement.
