POSITION TITLE: System Administrator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Information Officer
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Purpose of Position: The System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the IT server and related network infrastructure. The System Administrator performs a wide variety of duties which include, but are not limited to, analysis, installation, modification, documentation, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and repair of all server and network related technology, hardware and software. The incumbent also provides hardware and software technical guidance to core IT administrators and remote sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with stakeholders to plan, install, maintain, and upgrade new and existing network and server hardware and software to ensure performance standards and maximize uptime of critical end-user resources.
2. Plan, design, and troubleshoot local and/or remote storage and backup infrastructure solutions.
3. Generate and provide statistics of systems usage, systems outages, end user requests.
4. Identify and correct network and server-related issues and document resolution.
5. Provision and support servers for the development of applications.
6. Maintain and understand systems, regulatory requirements, and security interdependencies of hosting systems.
7. Actively participate in hardware and software configuration and change management processes.
8. Test and document system behavior, performance, and maintain overall security posture.
9. Work with peers and clients to develop hardware/software standards and implementation strategies.
10. Work with IT leadership to develop financial plans and budgets based on alignment with business/clinical technology innovation and industry standard advancement.
11. Support technology related project efforts as assigned.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Windows Administration Experience:
o Strong working knowledge of AD server roles, domain administration, configuration, migration.
o Administering Users and Groups (Distribution, Security, Global)
o Demonstrated knowledge of Share and NTFS Permissions, Inheritance, Aggregate Permissions.
o Demonstrated experience in managing AD-Integrated DNS, DHCP.
o Experience Administering Group Policy.

Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
2. Continuous sitting, standing, walking.
3. Correctable vision and hearing.
4. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
5. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
