Valley Cooperative Association is Hiring a Supply Chain Planner Near Greenville, WI

Valley Cooperative Association serves retail and wholesale bakers in the Western Great Lakes by offering a complete list of the finest baking supplies through an extensive purchasing system, climate-controlled warehousing, and a responsive distribution network. 

Valley was recognized as Vendor of the Year by the Wisconsin Grocers Association in 2020 for our many contributions as a proactive grocery industry partner, including our initiative helping farmers during the Covid-19 Pandemic by providing the Farmers to Families Food Box to families in need.

The Supply Chain Planner manages the replenishment of the supply chain for Valley Companies; ensuring appropriate inventory levels are available to Valley members and customers without increased costs. This is accomplished by planning and executing fulfillment strategies with all applicable parties including, but not limited to, Suppliers, Supplier Relationship Managers (SRM), Supply Chain Assistants (SCA), Sales, and Operations. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Replenishment – Manage portfolio of inventory items and suppliers through demand forecasting and replenishment software.
  • Identify and correct fulfillment issues with suppliers. Communicate affected product to applicable internal stakeholders.
  • Work with Account Managers to effectively manage Ad Events for “above normal” demand items.
  • New product setup (Creating new item # after receiving all required item setup documentation from SRM, who receives from vendor based on current requirement list. Filing all documents properly – i.e. item specifications, kosher certificates, 3rd party audits, etc.). Communicating all new products and estimated usages to Inventory Control Managers.
  • Manage and identify items to discontinue/stock based on changes in demand; communicate to SRM, SCA, and Warehouse Inventory Control Managers.

  • Possess strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Have a 2-4 year degree in Business Administration or equal experience.
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills are critical – must adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize.
  • Are experienced in a fast paced work environment.
  • Have strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Have experience in the Supply Chain field (preferred).
