Salary Range $120,000 to $130,000 Depending on experience and certifications
Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Leader Software Engineering Manager to lead our application development team. A qualified candidate would lead in all functions of system design, application architecture, and software coding; primarily focused on learning the existing codebase and leading the effort to modernize and replace existing core business systems. This role would also oversee the effort to maintain existing complex software programs, system integrations, and reporting as well as facilitate the response and remediation of incidents as they arise.
To ensure success as a Software Engineering Manager, you should have experience with multiple architecture design patterns and rearchitecting to modern architectures and be comfortable managing and mentoring others.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Support of all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, documentation, and support.
• Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of go-forward, modernized applications and systems.
• Drive product and platform innovations, capacity planning, roadmaps, upgrades, and future technologies.
• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers in the successful delivery of critical business applications.
• Define system architecture, coding standards, and best practices.

• Develop and enhance application software, interfaces, and reports.
• Assure quality and efficient design, including exception management, error handling, supportability, and reliability.
• Monitor, resolve and communicate status of outstanding defects/change requests.
• Provide Level Two support for applications.
• Work with DBA to design and maintain data tables as required for supporting applications.
• Assist in the transition of system updates into the production environment.
• Develop and maintain documented processes and procedures to consistently deliver assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Develop documentation and structured program specifications.
• Document all technical aspects of an application.
• Develop task estimates, report project status, issues, and recommended resolutions to support project plans.

Any other duties as assigned by management.
 
Required:

• 3 years of experience leading a team of engineers and/or architects by setting clear expectations, keeping team members energized, and delivering strong results
• 8 years of experience with supporting systems modernization, including architecture, design, and implementation with 24/7 mission critical production systems
• Strong experience developing API's using .NET or .NET Core (recent versions)
• Experience working within an Azure hybrid Cloud environment
• Demonstrated use of multiple, complex programming tools including
  • C#
  • ASP.NET web applications (MVC, Web API)
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, jQuery
  • React or Blazer a plus
  • Visual Studio
  • Proficient in .NET Framework 4.1 and above
  • Recent experience with .NET 6
  • SQL 2012 and above
  • OOP
• Ability to analyze programs, identify issues and anomalies, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments.
• Effective translation of issue resolution and requirements into technical specifications.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Make sound, independent judgments.

 
Required:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in application architecture and software development within the Microsoft technology stack.

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
