Ever wonder what happens after a member obtains a loan with UW Credit Union? It may seem like magic, but it’s actually our super team of Loan Servicing Representatives working behind-the-scenes! Due to the exciting growth UW Credit Union is experiencing, the Consumer Lending department is in need of an additional Loan Servicing Representative. As a Loan Servicing Representative, you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing UW Credit Union member loans. You may ask yourself - “what does it mean to maintain and service an existing loan?” Loan Servicing Reps ensure the accuracy of loan interest rates, payment due dates, payoff dates, and more, during the lifetime of a loan. They are the point of contact when members call with questions or requests related to existing-loans. Loan Servicing Reps work with outside vendors, like car dealers or insurance companies, on issues that may relate to a member’s existing loan. When a member is ready to pay off a loan in full, Loan Servicing Reps handle all necessary steps.

A successful Loan Servicing Rep is naturally agile, and can switch directions easily throughout the day, depending on what member needs are present and take priority. Having taken over 22,000 member calls last year, Loan Servicing Rep’s play a crucial role in retaining members, and must possess both patience and stellar customer service skills. Attention to detail and organization are vital traits that Loan Servicing Reps need in order to serve UW Credit Union’s members in the best possible way.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate and timely processing of loan payment corrections, loan modifications, due date changes, loan fee refunds, etc. on all consumer loan products
• Ensure UW Credit Union is listed as lien holder on vehicle titles within established service levels
• Perform necessary account maintenance on payment protection related products (Credit Life, Credit Disability, Debt Protection, GAP, MRC, etc.) in accordance with established service levels
• Ensure that external request for payoff information are handled professionally, discretely, and accurately.
• Process loan payoffs in a timely manner with an emphasis on quality
• Perform loan account maintenance through a variety of loan servicing activities (i.e. letter of guaranty requests, NSF check and ACH payments, automatic loan payment maintenance, etc.)
• Responsible for the timely and accurate scanning of loan documents to TREEV and adding comments into our loan system when account maintenance is performed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of transactional experience with InterACT preferred
• Must have strong oral & written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently, organize and prioritize work
• Have basic understanding of the Consumer Lending Process
• Demonstrated service-recovery skills
