JOB SUMMARY
Assist Medical Imaging and other hospital departments with safe transport of patients and other items as needed. Provides basic patient care duties as needed. Works assigned scheduled shift – including overtime, holidays, weekends, and evenings.
Some of the major job functions include, but are not limited to:
Patient Care: Ensures patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
Compliance: Follows and supports OSHA regulations and uses universal precautions when required.
Teamwork: Works within a team to achieve patient and team goals.
Technical Competency: Follows routine standards and properly and safely manipulates equipment, within its limitations, to obtain images.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Previous experience in a patient care setting or EMT preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Licensure: N/A
Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with health care workers and patients. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Must be able to work as a “team player” with medical staff, nursing staff, MI staff, patients, and visitors.

The job requires sitting/ standing constantly. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
