Utah State University is Hiring an Applications Administrator Near Logan, UT

Overview

The Applications Administrator (Systems Administrator I) position will support the Payment Solutions (Blackboard Transact, PayPal, Clover, etc) hardware and software currently used on campus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the various payment systems serviced through the Card Office:
    • Blackboard Transact
    • PayPal Solutions
    • eCommerce Solutions
    • Clover Point of Sale
  • Maintain card system in general, ensuring it is functional, meeting expectations, and is up to date
  • Troubleshoot system and equipment issues, working with USU IT teams and software and equipment vendors to find resolutions in a timely manner
  • Create new accounts, configure and install devices, and customize account settings for department needs
  • Maintain equipment replacement schedule for hardware and other vital systems equipment to ensure timely replacement of dated equipment and implementation of new
  • Perform audits and maintain Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards and regulations
  • Monitor the different payment gateways and assist with reconciling on a regular basis
  • Provide friendly and dependable service for all departments and users of the various systems, ensuring satisfaction with the services and solutions given
  • Participate in professional development training to gain new insight and skill for maintaining and improving in all areas of system support, project management, and customer relations
  • Administer user access and configure systems settings such as learner domains, role, notifications, and business rules in support of defined business processes
  • Timely and accurate completion of tasks

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience with supporting software solutions, managing projects, and providing support to clients and end users

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field plus 4 years of experience with supporting software solutions, managing projects, and providing support to clients and end users
  • Familiarity with payment solutions software and hardware (Blackboard (Transact), PayPal, etc) as well as software applications for authoring, training design, and web-based development
  • High level of planning and organizational skills including the ability to follow through on assigned tasks and to complete projects on time
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to produce design documents
  • Ability to work individually as well as a member of a team
  • Payment System software/hardware support experience
  • Website editing and e-commerce application experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to effectively work with clients to provide payment solutions options as well as conceptualize and develop an instructional product
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to be a team player and willing to work in a team environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to provide user-friendly, secure, accurate, and dependable applications and support to all customers and users while providing follow-up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the applications, services, and solutions rendered

    Advertised Salary
