UTHealth School of Public Health-Dallasinvites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. We seek exceptional team members with a desire to help us expand our research and teaching programs in injury and violence prevention, cancer prevention and control, and pediatric population health, with an overarching focus on health equity and improving health outcomes for underserved populations across the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, Texas, the nation, and beyond.
These positions are available within the Department of Epidemiology; the Department of Health Promotion & Behavioral Sciences; or the Department of Management, Policy, & Community Health. Successful applicants will join an innovative team in Dallas and will have access to resources of theCenter for Pediatric Population Health, theUTHealth Consortium on Aging, the Center for Healthcare Data, and the newly established UTHealth Institute for Implementation Science to conduct cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary research.
We seek applicants with a demonstrated track record of research in one or more of the following areas:
- Injury and violence prevention across the life course, e.g., teen violence and youth risk behaviors, intimate partner violence, and elder mistreatment.
- Cancer prevention and control, e.g., tobacco cessation, cancer screening, cancer survivorship
- Chronic disease, e.g., cardiovascular disease epidemiology and multimorbidity
- Child and adolescent health
- Hispanic Health
We are also interested in applicants with expertise in methodologic areas such as:
- Implementation science
- Healthcare delivery or health services research
- Health economics

Successful applicants will be expected to provide educational leadership, including classroom teaching and mentoring to graduate students; develop research grant applications and seek extramural funding, and create academic and/or community collaborations to support the research program.

Qualifications:
A successful applicant for these positions must have: (1) an earned doctoral degree in epidemiology, health promotion-behavioral science, health economics, health services research, implementation science, or related disciplines; (2) have a track record of research publications commensurate with academic rank and demonstrated potential for securing external funding.
