USEMCO is seeking a CNC Machinist with mill and lathe experience that can read blue prints, understands G-code and polar coordinates to join our team.

Position: CNC Machinist

1st Shift/Full-Time: 8 to 10 hour days, Monday through Friday with some Saturday mornings as needed

Competitive Starting Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour; skills and experience considered when determining starting wage.

Working Conditions: Indoors, no travel

Location: Tomah, WI 54660

JOB DUTIES

  • Set up and operate a wide variety of machining equipment (lathe, milling machine, etc.) to produce component parts for machinery. Assemble component parts consistent with product blueprints.
  • Work from assembly drawings, specifications, bills of material, and material specifications.
  • Set-up production machinery for production and short-run jobs that are performed by other workers.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to set up, fit and check work, and layout jigs and fixtures. Employ shop mathematics to perform related calculations. Perform general maintenance of fabricating equipment.
  • Evaluate fabrication procedures on a continuous basis and recommend ways to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • One to two years of technical college training in machine tool operation and tool set up preferred.
  • One to three years related experience in fabricating operation and set-up procedures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and written materials relating to fabrication set up and operation and safety procedures.
  • Must possess the mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints.
  • Must possess the ability to operate a wide variety of equipment such as hand tools, precision measuring instruments, saws, grinders, drills, mills, and lathes.
  • Must have the ability to operate manual and CNC lathe, mills etc.
