In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the HR department at our Stevens Point, WI location. We are looking for someone that is able to lead, manage, connect, and build relationships with our plant personnel and union. You will manage a small team, lead Human Resources and lead labor relations for about 400 Plant personal. If you are dedicated to connecting with people, being a true business partner, leading change and being part of a great team, please apply today Role Responsibilities: Be responsible for recruitment, hiring, and retention of a qualified workforce. Responsible for the maintenance of employment procedures and practices at local levels designed to attract qualified employees for plant and administrative positions. Advise plant leadership on employee relations issues and collective bargaining agreement issues. Help develop the organization through training, guidance, and evaluation. Assist in the development and administration of internal training programs. Ensures fair and consistent administration of company policies. Assist in grievances, arbitrations, and other NLRB matters coordinating efforts with corporate Human Resource Director. Assist local Plant leadership/HR on creating positive work environments Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human resource management, LR/ER, business or related field. 5 years of progressive HR experience with experience in labor relations. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent knowledge of Human Resources practices; working knowledge of HR related laws and regulations Possess knowledge of management-labor relations; the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management. Strong communication skills, problem solving skills, and negotiation skills. Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct the work of others. Experience conducting employment related investigations. Solid analytical skills and ability to understand the business context and strategy. Ability to effectively work on multiple assignments, while responding to frequent interruptions and changing priorities. PHR/SPHR certificate preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred.
