We’re seeking highly motivated Software Engineers to take the lead on designing an in-vehicle technology stack (Middleware & OS) & cloud-native DevOps Platform to enable Smart Vehicle Architecture. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the product. You’ll work with Software Architects to translate the product vision into features and with Product Owners and Technical Program Management to execute on development. You’ll need to work with other developers and QA Engineers to ensure compatibility and optimization at the system level. We’re seeking highly motivated Software Engineers to take the lead on designing an in-vehicle technology stack (Middleware & OS) & cloud-native DevOps Platform to enable Smart Vehicle Architecture. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the product. You’ll work with Software Architects to translate the product vision into features and with Product Owners and Technical Program Management to execute on development. You’ll need to work with other developers and QA Engineers to ensure compatibility and optimization at the system level. Responsibilities: Develop, debug, deploy, maintain and improve cross-domain middleware platform based on technical requirements Deliver end-to-end features required for safety critical, data intensive and high traffic backend applications. Participate in cloud architecture discussions and the design of microservices and database schemas. Document various aspects of the product including architecture, design, technical specifications, protocols, internal and external APIs etc. Manage deployments and support the production environment including field trials, demos and pilots on an as needed basis. Design, build and deploy secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure environments on AWS or equivalent public cloud infrastructure. Provision, configure and maintain the cloud infrastructure defined as code. Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools. Troubleshoot and maintain services and applications across various functional areas. Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring and analysis of cloud infrastructure and various services. Take responsibility for the execution of standards and processes and work closely with Technical Program Managers to ensure on-time, quality results Work closely with Software Architects in defining “stories” in JIRA Work in an Agile development team (SCRUM) Assist QA engineers with code reviews and in establishing validation/testing strategies Assure proper communication with assigned internal & external stakeholders Collaborate with cross-system architects and developers to ensure compatibility Must Haves (Basic Qualifications): Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience Systems level knowledge of all components of end to end IOT applications, Experience in system architecture design for highly available & complex systems Familiarity with agile / scrum methodology 7 years of experience with cloud software development using Cloud-native technology (microservices, Kubernetes, APIs, etc.), & DevOps, CI/CD 5 years of experience with database programming using PostGres, MySQL and/or NoSQL database technologies. 5 experience with AWS and AWS managed services or equivalent (MS Azure, GCP) Strong understanding and experience with Object-oriented design principles, algorithms, data structures and complexity analysis. Proficiency in either of Java, Python, Golang and/or C/C languages Strong understanding of object oriented design principles, modular design patterns, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and software complexity analysis. Nice to haves (preferred qualifications): Domain expertise in automotive and automotive functional safety requirements (e.g. ISO 26262), Automotive software development (v-cycle, ASPICE, etc.) and various testing methods (MIL, SIL, PIL, HIL, DIL, fault injection, etc.), familiarity with AUTOSAR Familiarity with middleware protocols (e.g. MQTT, DDS, SOME/IP), & communication technologies (e.g. CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet) Experience with cryptography including symmetric/asymmetric crypto, hashing, signatures, certificates etc. Aptiv Rewards & Advantages Competitive compensation package including; Healthcare, Pension.
