The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Partnering with a global team to drive Operational Quality Excellence in the Separations and Purification Sciences Division supporting 3M™ Liqu-Cel™ brand products. Leading and providing support to resolve customer quality issues. Providing Quality Assurance support for New Product Introductions and changes to existing products (MOC). Supporting product quality continuous improvement efforts utilizing methods and tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Quality at the Source Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Five (5) combined years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Product Engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Statistics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution Previous experience working in a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated device or drug environment and/or ISO 13485 or ISO 9001certified businesses. Previous experience leading Quality Assurance (QA) efforts for marketed products and new product introduction teams American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification Experience using statistical tools such as Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) studies, Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Design of Experiments (DOE) Location: Maplewood, MN or Charlotte, NC Travel: May include up to 25% domestic and 10% international Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
