The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve building/manufacturing equipment Perform independent preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, building HVAC, and facility utilities Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks using shop equipment, power tools, and precision measurement instruments Document work in maintenance tracking systems and develop/refine standard work for maintenance activities Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical or mechatronic work experience in a private, public, government or military environment Ability & willingness to work overtime, Holidays and rotating weekends as needed. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Must be able to pass the required 3M test battery Experience in a plant manufacturing environment Self-starter with the ability to work independently Possess good documentation skills and can read and understand mechanical prints Basic understanding of predictive/preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques Travel: Not required Relocation: Is not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
