Summary: The Quality Control Chemist performs Quality Control laboratory activities independently or under minimal instruction in support of product development, manufacturing, and quality control data analysis activities under cGMP regulations. Responsibilities: Perform QC release testing per applicable procedures, ensuring that results are evaluated to the required test specifications/acceptance criteria Perform raw material sampling per applicable procedures Perform chemical analysis of raw materials and data analysis of Raw Material results from contract testing laboratory Perform stability testing within timelines Perform review of test records Execute and maintain QC laboratory procedures Write deviations and OOS investigations as required Perform investigation testing as required Execute experimental protocol testing Train laboratory personnel on test methods and QC laboratory procedures Develop and validate Chemical Analyses of finished product and raw materials Perform Microbiological analysis on finished product. Perform environmental monitoring of manufacturing facilities Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific field 3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a QC cGMP regulated environment (Pharmaceutical or Medical Device preferred) Hands on experience in analytical chemistry, raw material sampling and testing. Can work independently and in a team setting Experience with MS Office applications, ERP, WMS. LIMS Must have excellent communications skills Follow procedures as written, strong attention to detail, ability to technically write procedures Prospective new hires for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
