The Supply Planning Manager performs all duties to ensure the monthly Supply Planning processes are completed to support the integrated planning processes like S&OP and at site level. The Planning Manager creates, executes and maintains the Supply Plan including the creation of the Master Production Schedule and medium term capacity loading outlooks. The Planning Manager develops proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to supply planning and scheduling. This is a hybrid role located at our Walkersville, MD site. Requiring 3 days on site and 2 days remote. Key Accountabilities Execute the monthly supply planning cycle including the creation and updating of supply plans and identification of key supply decisions with all relevant stake holders Oversee the Production scheduling group for several value streams, working closely with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality and Program management Manage small order fulfillment team in providing critical commitments and updates to key internal stakeholders so customers and systems are updating timely, coordinating with rest of Supply Chain, Operations and Customer service Ensure and implement control in managing raw materials and finished goods inventory to prevent discards and/or scrap Prepare supply planning input into monthly S&OP cycle and annual budget cycle Lead, motivate and improve a team of employees in evaluating current work and processes Create and maintain supply and scheduling related KPIs and use as basis for supply planning improvement initiatives Liaise with all relevant stakeholders and functions to ensure supply plan represents consensus view of future supply plans and action Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; Supply Chain Management degree, preferred Ability to influence both Supply Chain and functional leaders to support supply planning and site manufacturing strategy recommendations Must have leadership experience working across departments SAP experience is preferred; Production Planning a strong plus Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics (KPI’s) and identify issues through root cause analysis Competent using MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Ability to utilize Business Intelligence systems to extract data and generate reports Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
