Here’s the Gist: The Global Payroll Manager will be responsible for developing the overall strategic vision for Wolfpeed’s global payroll department, as well as leading the day-to-day operations which include supporting domestic and international expansion efforts and overseeing payroll operations and compliance. The Global Payroll Manager oversees the Payroll shared service function, in partnership with the HR Service Center, to produce high-quality payroll for over 4,000 employees globally. The person in this position must be a team player who is a strong leader with a commitment to improve systems and processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll outputs with excellent customer service. The Day-to-Day: Provide strategic leadership for Payroll operations while measuring and monitoring the effectiveness and efficiencies of the services provided Strong focus on continuous improvement to scale processes to enhance payroll operational efficiency, excellent customer service and design and implementation of internal controls and maintain payroll policies and procedures Strategic long-term strategy planning for payroll operations either within Workday and/or potential outsourcing options to support the Company’s future strategic priorities Own and manage relationships with external domestic and international payroll service providers Oversee global payroll operations, including ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing (serving as back-up global payroll processor), compliance with US and foreign securities regulations and tax requirements, and month-end close procedures Ensure all payroll-related tax filings are completed timely and accurately by Payroll Analysts Lead the consolidation of global payroll service providers and the implementation of a new service provider with an objective of automation, efficiency, and scale Ensure payroll team partners with the Stock Administration to manage stock-based compensation processing in payroll, including stock option exercises, RSUs and ESPP, for payroll tax compliance Supervise and support the monitoring and processing of the payroll case management inquiries to ensure proper action and timeliness for tasks that require processing for pay impacting changes and ensure the team provides timely response to customer inquiries and strives to provide a final resolution within targeted service level agreement (SLA) with great customer service and quality. Collaborate with HR Service Center, Workforce HRIT Systems, HRBPs and HR COEs to troubleshoot issues and ensure proper controls and processes within the system are being followed or developed and to identify opportunities to create more effective and efficient processes. This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements): 10 years of experience in payroll operations, operating at a global, multi-national, publicly-traded company U.S. Based Expert knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including payroll tax, reporting, and required filings High level of familiarity with international payroll and compliance requirements Strong project management experience including the ability to manage project plans, dependencies, critical path activities, and milestones Experience transforming a payroll function to maximize automation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness Excels in hyper-growth environments; versatile, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
