Here’s the Gist: IT is looking for an energetic professional to be the Data Center and Hosting Sr Systems Engineer responsible for managing all aspects of an enterprise Data Center Computing and Storage environment to include deploying, maintaining and providing operational support for server, storage and support systems within the data Center environments. The Systems Engineer will work closely with the Architecture Team to build out our existing infrastructure, along with troubleshoot problems as they arise. The Day-to-Day: Monitor and respond to automated alerts to ensure integrity and continued operations of virtual environments, Storage and support systems infrastructure. Triage, troubleshooting, and the resolution of server systems including, software, OS issues, pulling in other groups where needed. Support all aspects of server environments (including physical and virtual, on-prem and cloud based) Support enterprise data storage solutions Provide high-level support and technical expertise regarding data center services operations Detailed documentation of ticket information including symptoms, causes, troubleshooting steps and provide resolutions Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of the data center systems infrastructure Gather requirements from business users and work with architects and team lead to develop solutions for business requirements System Administration of VCenter at an enterprise level General knowledge on managing Linux servers and Linux based systems This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements): 5-7 years’ experience working in data center virtual environment operations Experience in System Administration of Linux Servers Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities System Administration of VMWare at an enterprise level (EXSi 5.5, 6.5, 7 , VCF) Experience in managing enterprise storage systems (VSAN, Netapp, Cohesity) Ability to support a wide array of IT services Ability to quickly learn various IT tools and systems System Administration of Windows Server Strong skill and willingness in developing junior administrators This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
