US Naval Sea Systems Command is Hiring an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST Near Virginia, VA

Duties

  • You will function as a NSWC PHD Administrative / Technical Specialist for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, E30 Surveillance Radar Division.
  • You will serve as acquisition program analyst for various acquisition projects and oversees preliminary planning efforts and progress of cross-functional and multi-organizational teams.
  • You will develop technical/acquisition/logistic support for the Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 2.0, Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM).
  • You will use acquisition program management principles, techniques, requirements, methods and practices to carry out tasks to support planning, organizing and managing weapon systems acquisition.
  • You will assist in the development of acquisition logistics that support the operation, maintenance, and support of the system.
  • You will plan, develop and participate in the establishment of the contract strategy and techniques for specific acquisition projects to include pre-award functions.
  • You will develop acquisition documents to produce a complete acquisition package that is executable by the contracting office to procure requested goods and/or services.
  • You will prepare formal reports, studies and documents that are properly organized, accurate, and effective.
  • You will organize and present thoughts plans and results in a clear and concise manner in both formal and informal situations.
  • You will communicate complex concepts both orally and in written form to a broad spectrum of personnel.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing acquisitions program management principles and techniques to support acquisition program requirements for weapons systems.
