BASIC PURPOSE Operate packaging and labeling equipment that seals trays of packaged meat/poultry while taking into consideration quality and food safety. $17/HOUR Benefits on Day 1! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Capable of operating equipment that seals and labels product. Retain information concerning packed meat/poultry (i.e. item number, label type, etc.) Ability to safely operate packaging equipment/familiar with lockout/tag out or similar safety procedures. Meet company standards and customer specifications. Must adhere to USDA Safety and Sanitation Regulations for food safety requirements Work in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F Complete miscellaneous other duties as assigned. Education/Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Preferred Related Experience: Prior experience using Multivac sealing equipment or labeling machinery. Prior experience working in a production or warehouse environment. Incumbent must have the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to read and understand cut tickets and packing instructions. Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice. Physical Requirements: Job requires worker to: Occasionally sit, walk, lift/carry over 50 lbs, and reach above shoulders. Continuously stand and grab objects.
