PRINCIPLE DUTIES: 1. Performs a variety of service work in one or more specialized building systems such as mechanical, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc. 2. Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work. 3. Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations. 4. Requisitions new supplies and materials as needed. 5. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. 6. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. 7. Perform other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Completion of a two-year technical degree, an apprenticeship program or at least five years of experience in facilities operations. 2. Backflow and HVAC certification strongly desired. 3. Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs. 4. Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., working outdoors, etc. 5. This position is first shift, Monday - Friday with occasional overtime. Candidate must be flexible and able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays (or on call) as needed. 6. May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift. 7. Must possess a valid driver’s license. 8. Must be able to travel 25% of the time to complete preventative maintenance within assigned territory. 8. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
