Manager, Financial Planning & AnalysisPosition Description Department: FinanceReports To: VP of Finance/AccountingLocation: Support Center Classification: Exempt Position Summary:The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Manager, FP&A) will play an important role in Urban Plates’ finance functions, including budgeting, financial modeling, internal reporting, and some general accounting responsibilities. In addition, the position will be responsible for analysis ofoperational trends and ad hoc reporting. The Manager, FP&A will work to prepare, present and explain financial analysis for senior management in support of functional businessobjectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities● Produces and provides analysis for all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports forthe company and reviews for accuracy.● Develops financial forecasts and analyses of existing and proposed restaurants.● Is responsible for coordinating the preparation of the restaurants and supportcenter department annual budgets. Reviews and makes recommendations on restaurant and support center department budgets.● Prepares ad hoc financial analyses and works on other special projects on an as-neededbasis.● Sets up and maintains all recipes, yields and menu items in CTUIT.● Responsible for verifying the accuracy of Theoretical Food Cost and prepares the reportingof weekly food cost variances.● Coordinates with the IT department for the ongoing upgrade and development of CTUIT.● Preparation of miscellaneous journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.● Presents, explains, and supports the monthly financial statement review process asassigned.● Researches and explains balance sheet and income statement variances.● Assists with year-end audit and tax requests.● Regular and reliable in-person attendance required. Non-Essential Job DutiesMay perform similar and incidental duties as required. Job QualificationsEducation: BA/BS in either Business Administration, Finance or AccountingExperience: Minimum six years accounting/finance experience. Accounting experience strongly preferred with previous Financial Planning & Analysis experience. Multi-unit Restaurant and/or hospitality experience preferred.Experience with CTUIT, Great Plains and PowerBi a plus. Knowledge: Proficient in the MS Office Suite with heavy utilization of Excel and Power BILanguage Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
