Overview

Upwork has partnered with a higher education enterprise client. They are a public land-grant research university and Hispanic-serving institution located in Merced, California. They are looking for an experienced Business/Requirements Analyst with facilities management and Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) software experience to document the UCM’s usage of their existing IWMS (MetaBIM) software and their goals and priorities for a new IWMS software package.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the current MetaBIM system in detail, talk to end users and analyze how the institution is using the current MetaBIM system.Create documentation that will include the top function of the system, what is working, and what is needed keeping in mind a ServiceNow based system may be the most desirable final solution.Document the functionality that will be needed in the new IWMS in the form of a scope document. Prioritized phased delivery approach depending on the complexity that may span several years.Completed proposal to be delivered to campus executives which determines whether this programs moves into implementation
• Documentation will include:
  • The existing system and the functionality that is currently being used.
  • The elements that currently work well in the existing system and those that are missing and/or not working with the existing system.
  • New functionality that is requested.
  • A comprehensive list of current and expected future users of the system.

Qualifications

• Experience with facility planning and systems management.
• Investigate facility systems and scoping MetaBIM usage with campus end-users and Facilities department.
• Excellent functional documentation skills
• Experience in documenting large facilities management.
• Experience and skillset using a wide range of IWMS systems.
• Great communication and writing skills.
• Zoom proficient.
• Can start ASAP.
• Available 25 hours per week.
• Must work overlap PST or CT/MT business hours daily Monday – Friday.
