Upwork has partnered with an enterprise client who is the the preferred enterprise partner for Fortune 500 brands and executives who seek online revenue growth, increased market share, and reputation protection and repair. They combine custom strategies, proprietary technology, and expert execution to align their work with their customers’ broader marketing strategies and business goals, providing results that make an impact on the bottom line.

They’re currently seeking for Financial Writers who are comfortable being named as authors on their site and someone who can provide a style guide upon being hired and a detailed outline for each article.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• You will create informative and engaging content to make complex concepts easy to understand in the financial space.
• You will monitor all sources of relevant information and interesting developments and share those with the whole team.
• You will stay up-to-date on financial services and industry knowledge.
• You will educate yourself continuously on new financial trends.
• You will adapt your writing style to the target audience’s level of expertise.

Qualifications

What you’ll need to have:

• Willing to commit to consistently writing for a minimum of 6 months, an opportunity exists for longer engagement.
• Agree to lend your name and likeness to their website as a named author.
• Financial writing experience covering Mortgages, Real Estate, Loans or other personal finance/ banking topics.
• Established content online on authoritative sites in the mortgage, real estate or other personal finance industries.
• Ability to naturally work in primary and secondary keywords as well as co-occurring phrases throughout your writing.
• Experience with Google Docs.
•  Fluent English speaker.
• Have the skills to edit your content for consistency, accuracy, adherence to style and brand standards.
• Excellent grammar, writing, copy-editing and communication skills, including the ability to adapt writing style to appeal to different audiences and adhere to established brand voices.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience optimizing content for SEO.
• Experience with content optimization tools such as ClearScope, MarketMuse, SEMrush etc.
• Experience with project management tools such as AirTable, Asana, Hive etc.
• SEO writing experience.
