Our skilled nursing facility offers both long term care and short term rehab and is located just outside of Albany, NY. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing. The chosen candidate will be energetic and demonstrate great leadership qualities. The candidate will work closely with the DON. Duties would cover infection control (including COVID), tracking of hospitalizations, oversees unit managers, woundcare, medication regimes (including pharmacy recs and GDRs). You will assist in overseeing the nursing team ensuring quality customer service and compliance with all Federal, State and local rules and regulations, as well as our policies and procedures. The ADON will be in charge of specific dutes within our nursing department.

• The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a Long Term Care setting.

• The ideal candidate will have completed the 19.3 hours CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course. This is not required however preferred and will be necessary to complete within the first month of employment.

• Coordinates and directs the total planning for nursing services to meet the needs of all residents.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current New York RN unencumbered license required

• Min. 3 yrs. exp. in Long-Term Care settings

• 2 years management experience preferred

• 1 year staff education experience preferred

• Excellent Communication Skills required

• Evidence of great leadership skills

• Comfortable with computer systems and electronic documentation
