SUMMARYOverview of the position.Prepares daily outbound shipments, will monitor and maintain inventory and receiving records; and perform a wide variety of shipping related responsibilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.Accurately pull and prepare orders for daily shipments and place on pallets or to packing station. Stretch, wrap, band, and weight pallets using warehouse equipment. Process small parcel shipments using UPS/FedEx, LTL and FTL carriers. Document and verify counts of pulled orders through scan guns and JDE software in the computer. Pick and pack orders using RF scan guns. Packs, seals and labels to prepare orders for shipping to ensure protective padding during transit. Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight. Receives, counts, and records incoming PO’s, products, customer returns, raw and corrugated materials. Put away, restock, and consolidate inventory into assigned bin locations. Perform cycle Counts and inventory audits. Maintain a clean environment in the warehouse.INTERACTIONThis position will interact closely with the VP of Operations, Operations Manager, Warehouse Coordinator, Warehouse Manager, Production Manager, and Sales Support Staff.EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent. 2 years of experience in general warehouse experience with emphasis in shipping. 2 years forklift experience. REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner, i.e. forklift, / dolly and pallet jack. Ability to operate various computerized shipping applications for all outbound shipments, i.e. TMS/Clipper ship. Strong knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow instructions. Knowledge of cycle count and physical inventory count programs. Self starter, ability to work independently and multi task with minimal supervision. Maintain a professional and positive attitude, Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to maintain constant and consistent communication with Warehouse Manager on a daily basis. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and ability to learn JD Edwards One World.
