Upper Deck Human Resource is Hiring a Systems Admin Near Carlsbad, CA

SUMMARY Overview of the position.Systems Lead will provide first line support to our employees. This position is responsible for providing IT support and assistance to all members of the company, ranging from troubleshooting/resolving user issues to upgrading PC hardware/software. The successful candidate will not only be a quick learner, but also show the ability to work as part of a team and feel equally confident in an unsupervised environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.Maintains and supports hardware and operating systems for network infrastructure:Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 Level Support for Windows Desktops and Server issues. Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 Level Support for the Apple Desktops and IOS Devices. Provide superior customer service; possess strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills in a dynamic customer centric environment. Maintain processes and procedures, while adhering to established company policies Configure and install systems hardware or software and maintain server and domain security requirements. Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software Resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems. Maintain systems configuration and manage the installation and integration of system fixes, upgrades, and enhancements Maintains network user accounts and related system administrative functions for Microsoft/Mac environments. Performs routine hardware and software maintenance on network equipment including builds, break-fix, warranty, troubleshooting and change control. Manage and maintain all backup and recovery processes. Supports all escalations from the IT Helpdesk; provides after-hours and on-call support (as needed). Supports all escalations to repair Networking Hardware and Software. Monitors and troubleshoots server and network performance; utilizes toolsets to proactively manage performance and operations. Creates and maintains all documentation related to WAN and LAN Security.Installs and Maintains Anti-Virus Software solutions for Workstations, Laptops and Servers. Works with IT Department Team to analyze and resolve problems associated with technical issues and recommends solutions for changing needs. Performs analysis, acquisitions, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of Windows Servers and other network hardware platforms, operating systems and software. Ensures that all network-related procedures and policies are documented including diagrams, disaster recovery, and all network software license compliance information. Authors technical documentation using MS Visio, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Other related duties as assigned. INTERACTIONInteracts closely with the IT departmental staff. Interacts on a daily bases with all employees at all levels of the company and must feel comfortable communicating in various media, such as written documentation, presentations, e-mail, demonstrations and training.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNot applicable. EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE3 years’ experience working in a high-availability network environment. Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Active Directory. Hands-on expertise in all areas of Network Administration including Windows OS, Enterprise Backup Solutions, Email, Anti-Virus Solutions, Spam, Intrusion Detection and VOIP. Proficient knowledge with Apple iMacs, MacBooks and IOS Devices. MCSE, CCNA, A Certification Preferred. REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESExperienced in hands-on Network Administration. Experienced with RAIDs, SANs/NAS, High Availability, Backups and Disaster Recovery. Experienced in HP, Dell and Apple hardware platforms. Experienced in supporting systems running Windows Server 2008 – 2019, MS SQL-Server, Office 365, Windows 10 and 11 and Apple OS. Proficient in the following software or systems: MS Office, MS Visio, PC and Mac OS platforms Knowledge of VMWare. Knowledge of Wireless Access Points Strong hands-on working knowledge of Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Etc.).Ability to use PowerShell Scripting. Extensive experience in Microsoft and Mac platforms, including Servers, Desktops, Laptops and IOS Devices. Knowledge of various technology architectures including TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, and VPN. Knowledge of VOIP Systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, problem solving, troubleshooting and customer service abilities. Professional demeanor; team player orientation; ability to interface with internal and external parties. Ability to perform duties under minimal to no supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment. Ability to be on-call beyond normal business hours and on weekends.
